Hello and welcome! My name is Jonathan Subacz and I am the creator of RunsOnWP.com. I’m also a husband, father of 3, and a car fanatic. I have spent more years in University then I like to admit.
I earned a Bachelor and a Master of Science degrees in Environmental Engineering at Auburn University as well as an MBA in Organizational Strategy from Georgia State University; however, my true passion lies in building websites and providing management consulting services to startups, entrepreneurs and rapidly growing small businesses.
I spent the first 12 years of my career working as a consultant to Fortune 500 companies and the Federal government. In 2016, I started developing websites professionally and providing consulting services.
I’ve been building websites for over 20 years (10 years with WordPress) and in October 2017 I decided to create a resource to help others in their online journey.
The idea for this site stemmed from the desire to give back to the WordPress community and serve as an informational resource for anyone wanting to build an online business using WordPress. Whether you are building a website for your offline business, starting a new blog, or looking to upgrade your current website, I hope that you’ll find this site useful.
Who is RunsOnWP for?
- Anyone interested in online business.
- Founders, co-founders, or managers at a small business.
- Side hustlers looking to make extra money online.
I plan to develop content around three primary elements: general WordPress and Genesis guides featuring code snippets that I’ve experimented with over time, step-by-step website blueprints, and case studies demonstrating these skills in practice.
- Getting Started Guides – video-based tutorials teaching the basics of WordPress.
- Website Blueprints – step-by-step instructions for building your WordPress site.
- Articles – case studies and updates on real world implementations of the skills shown on this site.
First, you’ll find beginner level information and tutorials under our upcoming Getting Started guides. From there, Website Blueprints will walk you through taking an off-the-shelf premium WordPress theme and plugins and developing a fully functional WordPress website. And finally, articles and updates that will that take a closer look at theme customization, case studies, and updates of some of the sites built on RunsOnWP in practice.
I am very excited that you found this new site and I hope that you’ll join me on this fun adventure in building websites that Run On WordPress. Here are a few ways that you can join and participate in our growing community:
